Festival of the Trees
Every year, for the past many years, we have gone to Festival of the Trees. It's an annual fundraiser for Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City. People elaborately decorate and then donate Christmas trees that are then auctioned off and all of the proceeds go to Primary Children's.
It's become a fun annual tradition for us. We love walking up and down the aisles and aisles of trees, oohing and aahing over most things, and wondering what other people were thinking. I know it's mostly a matter of taste, but some things, I guess I'll never get.
It's mostly a fun day to take the boys out of school and get into the spirit of the Christmas season. It's a Christmas tradition for my family that I hope will last for many more years.

Hey! Come tomorrow at 10. My girls are dancing. Of course, that negates the getting out of school part, so your boys might be mad...

I guess I never did mention that we went to Festival of the Trees Yesterday... (4 December)

I see how it is. They get out of school for some traditions but not others. Okay then.

Well... we didn't take one of them out of the WHOLE day of school. He went to Biology first, then left for the rest of the day.
Besides, I already TOLD you... 12 hours is too far. 10 hours, we could have done, but not 12. So if you would have moved your party to Phoenix...
We missed it though. It had become a holiday tradition for us too. :(
