Physical Therapy?
Or is it better called "Pain and Torture?"
Today's therapy session for my elbow was painful. PAINFUL, I tell you!
ASTYM, the therapy that they're doing for my tennis elbow involves scraping the tissues under the surface of the skin with hard acrylic tools. These must be modern derivatives of the instruments medieval torture.
I know that, in the end, it will be good for me, but for now... OUCH!!

Giggles
The first time I ever tried ASTYM was for a sprained ankle. The therapist explained that it was basically like they were going to re-sprain my ankle and then make it heal correctly this time. I understood that. Explaining it to others didn't go so well and I was strongly cautioned against it by people who didn't understand it. But my ankle finally got better and has been doing great ever since.
Good luck. I'd share the chocolate cake I made yesterday with you to make you feel better if it wouldn't make such a caramely sugary mess in my computer trying to get it to you.
