Anniversary

Eighteen years ago, we were married.  Eighteen years ago this morning, we knelt across from each other and made covenants with God and with each other.  Eighteen years ago, we exchanged rings and started our life together.  Eighteen years ago, we were giddy and happy and we started this journey together.

What a wonderful journey it has been.

I will forever be grateful for the incredible blessing of having her in my life.  Each passing year brings us closer to each other as we live and love and laugh together.  Each new trial of our faith, of our patience, of parenthood... each of these things, a potential weakness, becomes a strength as we learn and grow and overcome.

Together.

Eighteen years is just the beginning.
